Running routes in Vienna
With its most central location in the city, the Boutique Hotel am Stephansplatz is not only the perfect starting point for exciting sightseeing tours, but with its good connection to public transport it is the ideal starting point for discovering all parts of the city of Vienna. For a sporty start to the day, we recommend our favorite running routes: 1. The Vienna Prater is the green heart in the middle of the city. From the Hotel am Stephansplatz, take the subway for just two stops to get to Praterstern. The Prater Hauptallee starts from here and runs straight for around five kilometers and is very popular with many runners - especially in summer. On hot days you can cool off in the small forests in the Prater. 2. As a second highlight for running enthusiasts, we recommend the 21-kilometer-long Danube Island. In just five subway stops you get to the “Donauinsel” station and are right in the middle of it. Here you can then decide on a direction and start walking in a relaxed manner. Although the Danube Island is very popular with locals and tourists, it still offers a relaxing retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city center. 3. A classic for runners in Vienna is of course the “Ring-Runde”. If you would like to do a little tour of Vienna early in the morning or evening, the Vienna Ring with a length of 6 kilometers is perfect for a relaxed run with a panoramic view of Vienna.
