In the event of an alarm: sirens (with 90 decibels) alarm on the guest floors (2nd - 7th floors), loudspeaker announcements on the first floor (1st floor) and on the ground floor. Please leave the room immediately via the marked escape route!

If the staircase is blocked in the event of a fire, there is a second escape route via the rooms or corridor windows to an emergency staircase in the inner courtyard. Please follow the instructions of staff and fire departments!

The CAT (City Airport Train) takes you from Vienna Airport to Wien Mitte train station (Landstraße) every 30 minutes in just 16 minutes. From there you can reach the hotel at Stephansplatz with the subway line U3 towards Ottakring in just 10 minutes. Exit at “Stephansplatz”, leave the station towards the “Stephansplatz” exit, the hotel entrance is immediately to the left on Jasomirgottstrasse.
By car the journey takes between 25 and 40 minutes, depending on traffic. Please contact us to book an airport transfer!

With a separate living room and bedroom as well as barrier-free facilities, this room is ideal for people with special needs as well as families. The quiet living room, which faces the inner courtyard, is a wonderful place to relax on the one hand, but can also be used ideally as a second bedroom. On 40 m², up to three people can sleep in a double bed or in twin beds and an additional single bed. The height-adjustable washbasin, the easily accessible window handles and light switches as well as the roll-in shower ensure maximum comfort and absolute user-friendliness. This room can only be booked directly through our reservation department - please contact us at welcome@hotelamstephansplatz.at.

Your room will be ready from 3:00 p.m. on the day of arrival. If you arrive before 3:00 p.m., we will of course be happy to take your luggage into custody and endeavor to make the room available to you as quickly as possible.

On the day of departure, your room will be available to you until 11:00 a.m. If you leave later, we will be happy to take your luggage into custody.
If you leave before 6:30 a.m., we would be happy to offer you the opportunity to have a breakfast snack in the lobby. We ask that you register at reception by 8:00 p.m. the day before. You are also welcome to extend your stay with us by several hours at an affordable price. Subject to availability, an extension on the day of departure is possible until 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. Please inform reception of your request for a late check-out at least 1 day before departure.

We serve our rich breakfast in Cafe Giacomo Aragall from Monday to Friday from 6:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and on weekends and public holidays from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., including a fantastic view of the cathedral. Our breakfast offering includes, among other things, fresh organic pastries from the “Gradwohl” whole food bakery, homemade jams, Bircher muesli, seasonal cakes as well as mueslis, cornflakes, natural yoghurt, freshly prepared egg dishes and salmon, fried bacon or ham, Kaiserschmarren with plum roaster or stuffed pancakes, freshly squeezed juices, fresh fruit and vegetables and much more… Start each new day perfectly strengthened with us!

We will be happy to store your luggage in our luggage room. This service is of course free of charge. For your luggage service, please contact reception at 715 (internal).

All our rooms are equipped with a hairdryer, which is located in a black bag under the sink in the bathroom.

Children up to 13 years stay in their parents' room free of charge, from 14-17 years there is an additional charge of EUR 50.00 per person
and night, each including breakfast.

Yes, all guest rooms are equipped with air conditioning. This can be controlled individually all year round as desired. The prerequisite for cooling is an outside temperature of at least 12° C. The integrated humidification (automated to 45% humidity) is in operation all year round. Heating operation via air conditioning is possible when the outside temperature is below 19° C or 16° C (day/night). The bathroom floors are kept at the right temperature all year round; at high outside temperatures but with minimized heat.

Due to many construction sites in Vienna's city center, some of the one-way streets were reversed. The best access to Stephansplatz is via the Kärntner Ring.

We recommend that you go directly to Garage Freyung, Freyung 5 / Herrengasse 23, 1010 Vienna (approx. 8 minutes' walk), if necessary. Exit tickets are available from the hotel at a special rate of EUR 30.00 / 24 hours. No advance reservation required.

The entire city center of Vienna is basically a short-term parking zone with a maximum parking time of 2 hours. This applies from Monday to Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Weekends and public holidays are excluded; on these days parking is free and has no time limit.

Of course, but we kindly ask for your understanding that all of our guest rooms are non-smoking rooms. You are welcome to smoke in front of the house.

The Cafe Giacomo Aragall is a real insider tip - in the middle of Vienna. Warm colors, fine woods and unique art form the unmistakable ambience of the restaurant, which is popular among connoisseurs and is named after the Spanish tenor and chamber singer Giacomo Aragall.
The special atmosphere and the diverse range of food and drinks invite you to feel good and enjoy. Start the day with a rich breakfast buffet, peppered with selected organic products. Pamper your palate with a tasty à la carte menu at lunchtime and treat yourself to a pastry with a Viennese melange in the afternoon. Unfortunately we do not offer dinner. The cafe is open daily until 7 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays until 8:30 p.m.

In addition to our hotel's own Cafe Giacomo Aragall on the first floor of the hotel, there are numerous restaurants, bars, cafés and attractive places to stop off and indulge in culinary delights in the immediate vicinity of the hotel. Our concierge team at reception will be happy to help you at any time with specific recommendations and reservations tailored to your expectations.

Our room service is available on Tel. 738 (internal) from Monday to Thursday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Fridays and Saturdays until 8:00 p.m. and Sundays from breakfast time. The service surcharge is EUR 5.00 per order. Please note that during the summer break of our Café Bar ARAGALL from mid-June to mid-August, room service is only offered from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. You can find the current room service menu in the guest folder in your room.

All rooms are equipped with a safe, which is located in the wardrobe. The internal dimensions are: H 25 cm, W 36 cm and D 34 cm. You have the option to close and open the room safe either with your credit or debit card or with a personal 6-digit code. The Hotel am Stephansplatz assumes no liability for items lost in the safe or in the hotel room.

Our sports sauna relaxation area is located on the 2nd floor of the house and is available to our guests daily and 24 hours a day.

We offer room bookings with 2 different cancellation conditions. It is best to check which conditions apply to your request via the booking page on our homepage by selecting your travel date, the number of people and your preferred room category.
1) FLEX price: 100% advance payment upon booking; Cancellable free of charge until 6:00 p.m. the day before arrival. Can be booked for a maximum of 3 nights in all room categories except Terrace Rooms and Suites. Rebooking possible until 6:00 p.m. the day before arrival. In the event of an early departure, there will be no refund for the remaining nights. The FLEX price cannot be booked on all travel dates; it is blocked on dates with high demand.
2) Promotions & Packages: 100% advance payment upon booking; no refund in case of cancellation or no-show. Promotions can be booked from 1 overnight stay. No rebooking possible.

We ask for your understanding that pets are not permitted in the Hotel am Stephansplatz. Assistance dogs are exempt from this rule.

Our laundry service is available Monday – Saturday. The current price list and laundry bags can be found in your wardrobe in the room. The surcharge for the Saturday service is 50% of the normal rate. If you hand over the laundry by 9:00 a.m. at the latest, the cleaned laundry will be returned that same evening. If you hand over the laundry after 9:00 a.m., it will be returned the following day. Please contact reception for this service. Please note that the hotel assumes no liability for damaged or lost laundry.
In addition, all of our rooms are equipped with an iron and ironing board.

Espresso Machine: All our guest rooms are equipped with an espresso machine, a kettle, and a selection of fine coffee and tea from Julius Meinl. Enjoy your daily espresso or tea in your room free of charge, and the products are replenished daily.

Grander Water: We use exclusively GRANDER water throughout the entire hotel. This magnetically revitalized water is refreshing, softer, has a finer taste, and is beneficial for your health. It also has a positive impact in the housekeeping area by enhancing solubility, thus saving on detergents and benefiting the environment.

Harmonization: Harmonizing the house is a regular project of our housekeeping department. In accordance with Ayurvedic medicine, which attributes calming, relaxing, and clarifying properties to sage, the rooms and guest areas are ceremoniously smudged with desert sage seasonally. This process brings new energy and creates a pleasant, revitalizing atmosphere, both mentally and spiritually.

Minibar: All guest rooms are equipped with a minibar, which is restocked daily. The products in the minibar are chargeable, and a price list is provided in each room. When booking our suites, the minibar is included.
