Being our guest

at Vienna's most central

  • Our privately managed 4-star hotel Our privately managed 4-star hotel

Our privately managed 4-star hotel in the heart of downtown Vienna has been owned since 1956 by a family from Vorarlberg, who have designed the HOTEL AM STEPHANSPLATZ with a taste for art and attention to detail to make it a feelgood place. It was extensively refurbished to meet ecological and building biology guidelines in 2004 and 2005, and the architectural serenity has harmoniously blended with the warming atmosphere of noble woods, genuine leather and natural colours ever since.

External and internal construction materials, furnishings, fittings and equipment were chosen with the environment in mind and to provide first-class accommodation. Art and high-quality design complete the ambience to make you feel right at home after stressful business appointments or extended sightseeing tours. Whether you want to discover Vienna, go shopping in style or meet business colleagues, our hotel offers you the best starting point.

    Check in and enjoy

You cannot be closer to the heartbeat of the city than at the HOTEL AM STEPHANSPLATZ, Vienna's most central. Whether you are travelling for business or leisure, you will be thrilled by the character and central location of our charming 4-star Boutique hotel in the centre of Vienna. In the HOTEL AM STEPHANSPLATZ, you will be staying directly opposite St. Stephen's Cathedral, Vienna's landmark, very close to numerous places of interest.

For example, the Vienna State Opera, the Imperial Palace, the Albertina, Parliament and the museums of Art History and Natural History are within close walking distance, and the well-known pedestrian zones and shopping precincts of Kärntner Strasse, Graben and Kohlmarkt, with their versatile offerings, are within easy reach. Public transports (metro lines U1 and U3, bus lines 1A and 2A) are also just a few steps from the hotel.

A popular meeting place for private and business gatherings is our CAFÈ BAR ARAGALL on the Beletage, named after the world-famous tenor Giacomo Aragall and open to the public. Depending on the time of day, it serves breakfast, snacks and coffee or after-work cocktails.

Business guests also appreciate our two perfectly appointed seminar rooms MATTEO & INOFFICIUM, which offer ideal conditions for seminars, workshops, training sessions, meetings or conferences.
